Securities & Finance
FALG’s securities and finance attorneys assist clients regarding private and public financings, technology licensing, joint ventures, and general business representation of both private and publicly held companies.
Tax Law
FALG’s tax attorneys are experienced in international, federal, and state and local taxation. All FALG tax attorneys hold a Master of Laws in Taxation, and are admitted to practice before the U.S. tax court.
Business & Corporate
FALG’s business and corporate practice includes organization of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, acquisitions and sales of business assets, contracting for the sale of products and services, leasing of properties, and creation and implementation of employment contracts and related compensation arrangements.

FALG’s investment funds and management attorneys have substantial experience advising sponsors, managers and advisers on the formation and operation of alternative investment vehicles including venture capital, private equity funds and other private and public pooled investment vehicles.
Estate Planning & Probate
FALG provides a full range of estate planning services, including gift and estate tax planning for U.S. and non-U.S. persons, business succession planning, asset protection planning, and charitable gifting.
Real Estate
FALG’s real estate practice includes commercial and residential development, acquisitions and sales, financing, and commercial leases, as well as real estate fund formation. Within this practice area, we represent landlords, tenants, sellers, purchasers, developers, and property managers, among others.
Outside General Counsel
For small and midsize companies without in-house legal staff, our attorneys have the expertise to provide general counsel services. These services may include business structuring, finance, planning for international expansion, regulatory compliance, and other general counsel services, with underlying attention to tax exposure and risk mitigation.

Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR)
FALG attorneys have assisted many clients seeking to report offshore assets. Typical clients include U.S. citizens residing abroad (e.g., Canadian residents), who were entirely unaware of their obligation to file U.S. tax returns or foreign bank account reporting forms (FBAR forms, or Forms TD F 90-22.1), and U.S. residents who are citizens of foreign countries and were unaware of their obligation to report accounts from their “home” country.

The Columbia Center is bounded by Columbia and Cherry Streets, and Fourth and Fifth Avenues. The parking garage can be accessed by heading west on Columbia Street (downhill from Fifth Avenue toward the water); take the second driveway on the left.
